Tim Pine Paintings

Tim Pine: Experimental Painter

Tim Pine is an Australian experimental painter known for his innovative use of mixed media on large-scale surfaces. His artistic practice oscillates between figurative and abstract styles, resulting in dynamic works that defy conventional interpretation. Tim prefers to let his art speak for itself, choosing not to discuss the meanings behind his paintings. A passionate artist from a young age, Tim excelled in art class during high school, although he did not pursue formal schooling thereafter. His unique approach to painting often includes the use of found materials, allowing him to create textured and layered compositions that reflect his diverse influences. While he has yet to hold a public exhibition, all of Tim’s works to date have been sold to private collectors, remaining largely unseen by a broader audience. His artistry has drawn comparisons to renowned figures such as Julian Schnabel, Francis Bacon, and Harold Garde, highlighting his position within the contemporary art scene. In addition to his painting, Tim is an accomplished film director and writer. He navigates between these two creative realms, continuously exploring new concepts and techniques. His directorial debut, “Spithood,” premiered on U.S. Prime Video in late October 2024, marking his emergence as a notable talent in the film community. As he continues to develop his artistic voice, Tim Pine remains dedicated to both his painting and filmmaking, with plans to showcase his work in the future.
